Veterans’ related events for November 2011
November 8 – Veteran PTS (Exploring the Art & Science of Healing Strategies at end-of-life)
The Hospice of Dayton, in partnership with the VA Medical Center, invites you to mark your calendar for Tuesday, November 8 to attend an all-day education program focusing on addressing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and end of life palliative care. November 11 – Veterans Day Service (FREE)
Miami Valley Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park, On the Great Miami River at the corner of Patterson Road and the Stewart Street Bridge
This yearly service pays special respect to those who served in Vietnam and includes remembering the 400+ men from the eight counties around Dayton who gave their all. Six of those are Medal of Honors recipients. The Park is celebrating its 25th Anniversary and this service is put on by Chapter 97 of Vietnam Veterans of America. Special participants this year will be the Pershing Rifles from the University of Dayton Army ROTC detachment.

Veterans Day Program
Working in partnership with Stivers School for the Arts, the museum will offer a special program for veterans on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11. From 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., all veterans and one guest will receive free admission to the special exhibition American Chronicles: The Art of Norman Rockwell. For more information click here
